George Teague |

|
His most famous moment might be when he decked San Francisco's Terrell Owens, as the 49er wide receiver celebrated a meaningless touchdown atop the 50-yardline star in Texas Stadium. Teague is therefore remembered by many Cowboys' fans as a defender of the team's dignity. He is noted for a play as a college athlete in the 1993 Sugar Bowl as a player for the University of Alabama football team, when he raced down the field and stripped the football from University of Miami wide receiver Lamar Thomas. This became known as "The Strip" to Alabama fans, and helped lead Alabama to its rout of Miami to win the national championship. |
