former All-Pro player in the NFL, Dan Reeves got his start playing and coaching
under the legendary Dallas Cowboys coach, Tom Landry. Legendary NFL coach,
committed family man, and always the consummate professional, Dan Reeves
was most recently head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Reeves led the Falcons
to the playoffs twice, including Super Bowl XXXIII. While in Atlanta Reeves
earned his 200th career win.
Dan led his team to 48 playoff games and 9 Super Bowls as a Player and Coach,
won the NFL Coach of the Year award in 1993 (Atl) and 1998 (NYG), was the
winningest active coach with 167 wins (while coaching the Falcons), and
was AFC Coach of the Year in ’84, ‘89, and ’91.
He was the youngest head coach in the NFL when he assumed command of the
Denver Broncos in 1981 as Vice President and Head Coach. A genuine leader,
Reeves coached the Broncos to five divisional titles, and three Super Bowl
appearances during his tenure in Denver. His success continued as he was
named the AFC coach of the year and would later add NFL Coach of the Year,
NFL Films Coach of the Year, Staples NFL Coach of the Year to his credit.
Before taking the helm of the Falcons., Reeves successfully served as head
coach for the New York Giants and was named the Associated Press Coach of
the Year for his leadership.
