Leonard Little began his football career at Asheville High School in Asheville, North Carolina where he was both a linebacker and a wide receiver. He was a three year starter. As a senior, he was named a Super Prep, Blue Chip, Prep Football report as well as a First-Team All-American. In November of 2005, his high school retired his #30 jersey. He played college football for three seasons at the University of Tennessee and started every game as a middle linebacker during his senior season. He lead the team in tackles (87), and sacks (8.5). As a senior, he was named a First-Team All-America as well as First-team All-SEC. His Junior year he played in the first 7 games as a defensive end, recording 33 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 5 tackles for losses. He also blocked one field goal and forced 4 fumbles. Little started every game during his sophomore season as a left defensive tackle and recorded 62 tackles and a career-high 11 sacks. He played one season for Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. Little was originally drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft as the 65th pick. In 2003, Little was an All-Pro selection and a Pro-Bowl selections. He is also a two time Pro-Bowl alternate (2004, 2006). Little has a career total of 344 tackles, 87.5 sacks and 2 interceptions. He is currently a free agent. |
