D’Anthony Batiste hails from Marksville, Louisiana where he attended Marksville High School, and helped his team to three consecutive playoff appearances from 1996–1998. He was named all-state, all-district, all-parish and all-region during high school career. After high school, Batiste was a four year letterman at Louisiana-Lafayette. He was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection his senior season. He began as a tight end before moving to guard during his freshman campaign. After college, Batiste spent time in the AFL and CFL before signing with the Dallas Cowboys in 2006. He then spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins- where he appeared in eight games in 2009. Batiste was signed by the Denver Broncos in December of 2009.
