Robert Harris was born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, Robert Harris ability to excel surfaced early in his life. During high school, he earned letters in football, basketball and track. He was an all-Florida selection at DT and OG. He was also honorable mention on the All American in High school. Robert attended Southern University and was a two-year starter. He finished his college career with 158 tackles, 17 sacks, two FR and Four FF. He played in every game as a junior. He was a black college All American and a first team all SWACC. In 1992, Harris was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round (39th pick overall) and played three years with Minnesota. In 1995 Harris was signed by the New York Giants as a free agent and played five seasons finishing his career in 1999. Robert was the first New York Giant interior lineman to record 10+ sacks in a season. In the church setting Robert talks about how is faith has impacted his life before, during and after football. In the business world Robert talks about how football shaped his life and taught him the lessons of teamwork, accountability and focus. |
