Drafted 17th in the 1St round of the Supplement Draft by the Denver Broncos, Bobby became the first rookie to rush for over 1,000 yards. He is also one of 10 running backs to rush for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in the 1st two years. The Broncos were in the Super Bowl during his rookie year in 1990. In 1991, Bobby was selected to the Pro Bowl. Then in 1992, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins. In 1992 he was the team leading receiver in pass receptions. He played with Miami in 1992 through 1993. In 2004, Bobby was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. He was the Birmingham Arena Cup Steeldogs football coach from 1999 through 2005 where he coached longer than anyone else in AF2 history and holds the record for most wins in the league. Bobby and his wife Barbara have 5 children and live in Birmingham. He has a degree in Social Work. He is active in church and speaks to youth groups as often as he can. His best advice is “change is possible through a relationship with Christ.” |
